Essay #3

I currently do not use a social networking site. I used Myspace in the past and just recently signed up for a Twitter account. I use to love Myspace and used it almost everyday but just got bored of it. I went from checking it 4-6 times a week to checking it once every few months. I just came to the realization its a waste of time using sites like Myspace or Facebook everyday. It is nice to catch up with friends but I use AIM and talk to most of my friends on there. Over time I just preferred to use AIM or text messaging to keep in contact as oppossed to checking out Myspace.

I am thinking about getting involved again using Twitter because it is very similar to text mesaging. I rather send a tweet than use Myspace and to always change my front page. I use to hate always changing my background to keep up with everyone else and is probally one of the main reasons why I stopped using Myspace. I will start using Twitter in the future and possibly check my Myspace page more often than once every 3 or 4 months. I would not pay a fee for it since I didn't value it much in the first place but if I liked Twitter a lot than I would possibly pay a fee to use it.
